State fair/Dance performance and Halloween

Maya's dance/tumbling group got to perform at the State Fair on Saturday. It was a lot of fun and she did great. We are so proud of her.


Then we all got to rides some rides.

Trevor talked Sammy into going on this ride, he said he wanted to and we were worried he would hate it. Despite the look on Sammy's face, he got off and was all SMILES. He said he loved it. I was proud of him for trying a scary ride.

It was a great family day.

For Halloween our family went as ourselves . . .

A Football TEAM

We pretty much eat, drink and sleep football so I thought it was a good idea for Halloween.

And of course, just like in real life . . .

we are the referees.

It's finally football season - yeah!

I LOVE football season. Of all the sports that we do, football is my favorite, there's nothing like it.

Both Tanner and Trevor are playing Pop Warner football.

Both of them happen to be #56 which makes it easy for me.

Tanner is going for the ball after kickoff but it bounced all crazy and went above his head.

Then to the big boys game.

We played the Cowboys (a "snots"dale team) who are very good.

Trevor is the one on the ground who just made the tackle on #68 (black). His feet are in the air.

Look at the little pansie in black saying (in a high pitched voice)"Oh no, #56, please don't hurt me!" and then Trevor says "Not a chance". ha ha ha

It's a good thing we love it because it takes up our whole Saturday every weekend. It's worth it.

Next year: High school Football!

First Day of School

Ahhh, the first day of school. So many mixed emotions:

1. I'm so happy to have the house clean & quiet again.

2. My little girl is going to Kindergarten :(

3. Kayden is going to be so sad and lonely.

4. My babysitter is back in school.

Overall, I'm happy, I am ready for a new chapter to begin.

Maya is trying to be brave on her first day of Kindergarten.

Her good friend Kelsie D. is right behind her.

This broke my heart, it was so hard to turn & walk away and have faith that this "new lady" would take care of her the way I would.
I was glad I had sunglasses on to hide my tears.

Maya - first day of kindergarten 8-6-08

Tanner is starting 4th grade and his teacher is Mrs. C. Tanner is in Pop Warner football on the "S." again this year. He loves it and is so tuff. He is playing linebacker and loves to get in and make the tackle.

Sammy is going to be in 8th grade at D. Jr. High. He loves his teacher, Mrs. D. He is in choir and Life Skills which is kind of like Home Ec. in our day. He is super excited to cook.

Rasheeda's 1st day of school picture didn't turn out great, so I'm using this adorable picture that a lady sent me from girls' camp this summer. She is continuing at H. High school with Mrs. S. She loves school and her favorite class is Seminary.

Trevor is the big man on campus this year as an 8th grader. He is in honors Math and honors science. He is in Pop Warner football now on the "B" again this year playing quarterback and middle linebacker.

Kayden is working on his photography now that the kids are back in school. (He took this picture of himself.) He gets to start preschool in Sept. He can't wait.

Baseball season highlight

I decided I better post a few baseball pictures before the next sport starts (football). We spent our entire summer and spring doing baseball, March - mid-July. Of course football practice started the first of August.

I can't get pictures to work, so I did video. I wasn't going to put this video on cuz some might think it's arrogant, but Trevor earned this and it was the highlight of the season, maybe the year. He was on a hot streak and hit 3 of these in 2 games (2 nights). You can hear me on the video in disbelief. This is for you Grandpa & Grandma in Hong Kong.

I don't know why but "add image" isn't working right now. Oh well, I'll try to post pictures later.
